We recommend using slow feeder bowl for dogs from an early age, especially for dogs who have just transitioned from breast milk to dog food, puppies tend to be greedy little guys or gals and often love to run around and play, even if theyve just had their breakfast, you will see them eating fast and in a hurry, eating too fast will cause the stomach to expand rapidly and cause damage to the stomach. In addition, eating too fast can easily cause the food to be right in the throat, leading to suffocation.

Eating fast is just as risky for puppies as it is for older dogs. Puppies should be given a slow feeder bowl to stop them from eating fast. The puzzle in the slow feeder makes it impossible for a puppy to quickly swallow all the food in the bowl, which minimizes the amount of air they take in when eating.

This lessens the chance of the puppy getting bloat and becoming sick after eating. At the same time, we also recommend the person who consider taking their dog to neuter use a slow feeder bowl for their dog. After neutering, the dog will gain weight. Slow eating can increase satiety, reduce the dogs desire for food, and effectively control the dog weight.

Using a slow food bowl can prevent your dog from vomiting, which can cause stomach acid to surge up into the esophagus and damage it. If your dog is in the early stages of binge eating or just wants to get into the habit of eating slowly, choose this simple pattern slow feeder bowl, but if your dog is a severe binge eater, choose a slow food bowl with a more intricate pattern.

When using the slow feed dog bowl for the first time, use something that is super tasty and a rare treat. That will tell him/her that the bowl is something good. Your dog might get frustrated and abandon the bowl if is very hard and boring food the first time. Not every dog needs a slow feeder, but every dog can benefit from using one.
