SunGrows Shredded Catappa Terrarium Leaf Litter adds beauty, improves humidity, creates a playground for your pet, and for tadpole teas. The warm rust-colored leaves add texture and interest to your terrarium. They provide food and shelter to isopods, the small critters that help clean up waste and debris and many frogs like to eat.

The litter traps moisture creating a humid substrate to keep your African dwarf frog or bullfrog moist. The primary benefit of adding the shredded leaves is that they break down more quickly than whole leaves, releasing their beneficial compounds into the environment at a faster rate.

They also spread more evenly throughout the habitat, providing a uniform distribution of tannins and other compounds. Some pet owners prefer to add shredded leaves instead of whole ones because it creates a more natural and textured substrate. This can enhance the overall appearance of the habitat.

Moisture is vital for frogs because they need to absorb oxygen and water through their skin. Some frogs are aquatic, some are semi-aquatic, some are terrestrial, but all frogs need a shallow pool to stay moist. Frogs drink through their skin and need moist skin to breathe. Add some catappa shred to make your pets pool a beneficial spa.

Catappa leaves contain tannins and other positive properties that reduce water hardness, sooth skin, and add a beautiful tan tint to the water. Frogs also love hunting, tunneling, and leaping in the litter. SunGrow Catappa Leaf Litter Shred is ideal for tadpole tea, the pool nursery for tadpoles.

Boil some shreds in a gallon of water for about fifteen minutes for a beneficial tadpole tea. The leaves can be reused up to five times for tea and then let them dry out and use them as terrarium litter. SunGrow Shredded Catappa Terrarium Leaf Litter is ideal for your frog for their happiness, wellbeing, and for their next generation.
