Brightwell Aquatics Reef BioFuel is a specially formulated organic carbon supplement designed to support healthy bacterioplankton growth and reproduction in marine aquariums. By providing bioavailable carbon, Reef BioFuel effectively promotes the assimilation of dissolved organic materials such as phosphate and nitrate.

This process helps maintain excellent water quality by reducing excess nutrients that could fuel the growth of algae and other unwanted organisms. Reef BioFuel is an essential tool for reef aquariums, particularly those with heavy livestock or high nutrient loads, as it encourages growth to bacterioplankton and offers an eco-friendly, biologically-sound alternative to traditional methods.

In addition to improving water quality, Reef BioFuel serves as a natural food source for suspension-feeding invertebrates like corals, clams, and tube worms, promoting their overall health and vibrant coloration. This supplement also supports the efficient removal of nutrients through protein skimming, further aiding the filtration process.

Reef BioFuel is simple to use, ensuring that hobbyists can easily maintain a balanced, thriving reef system without the need for complex methods.
